In the mining sector, Fresnillo PLC and Anglo American PLC saw their stocks experience significant gains of 3.50% and 2.88% respectively.
Setbacks for Aerospace and Pharmaceutical Companies
Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC, a prominent aerospace products/parts company, faced the largest decline among the FTSE 100 constituents, witnessing a decrease of 2.83% in its stock value. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC and GSK PLC, both active in the pharmaceutical industry, saw their shares drop by 2.66% and 2.02% respectively.

Melrose Industries PLC, specializing in building materials/products, and banking firm NatWest Group PLC experienced reductions of 1.49% and 1.42% in their stock prices.
