The U.S. stock markets are set to open in two hours, and there are some notable developments in pre-market trading. F5 Inc. (FFIV) is showing a significant increase of 9.9%, while Logitech International S.A. (LOGI) is up by 6.9%.
Several other companies are also posting gains. Sherwin-Williams Co. (SHW), General Electric Co. (GE), and National Instruments Corp. (NATI) have all seen increases of at least 4%. However, AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. Cl A (AMC) and Spotify Technology S.A. (SPOT) have experienced declines, falling by 8.0% and 6.8%, respectively.
Looking at the futures market, the S&P 500 futures are up by 0.12%, and the futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average are rising by 0.06%. At the same time, the Cboe Volatility Index futures are down by 1.91%.
In terms of commodities, Brent crude oil futures have increased by 0.32%, while gold futures have decreased by 0.36%. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has seen a slight rise of 0.03% and is currently valued at $29,152.
The 10-Year Treasury yield has risen to 3.902%.
To provide some context, let's review the previous regular trading session. The S&P 500 and the Dow saw gains of 0.40% and 0.52%, respectively. In Asia, stocks had a mixed performance, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index down by 0.06% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up by 2.13%.
As we enter the afternoon trading session in Europe, stocks are on the rise. The STOXX Europe 600 Index is climbing by 0.27%, while the FTSE 100 Index is up by 0.10% compared to the previous close.
